How to get started
1. Request access to apply
Submit your name, email and country for review. If Trustline invites you to continue, we will send you a secure link to the full application.
2. Complete the application
About twenty minutes: your trade, how long you have worked in it, two referees, and your business documents.
3. We verify you
Identity first, then your referees by phone, then any business registration you gave us.
4. Sign, and take projects
You sign the Contractor Agreement at your first sign-in. No project is assigned until it is signed.
Contractors build. Professionals verify, one-time or on a recurring plan. If you inspect, survey or review rather than put up the structure, you want the professional network instead.
What the work is
Managed builds for diaspora clients, usually a house being built back home by someone living overseas. Trustline Builds finds and holds the client, agrees the brief and the milestone plan with them, and you execute the construction against it.
The terms
Milestones and payment workflow
Trustline coordinates milestones and records the agreed payment workflow. Payment requests are reviewed against the project schedule and available evidence; this does not guarantee payment, performance, refunds or recovery. Procurement and supplier records run through the platform where the project schedule requires it.
A 24-month non-circumvention clause
You agree not to take private work from a client introduced through the platform, during the project or for 24 months afterwards. It is in the Contractor Agreement you sign at your first sign-in, and it is better to know now than after vetting.
You are independent, and liable
You are an independent contractor engaged through the platform, not an employee of Trustline Builds, and you carry professional liability for your own work. Trustline Builds acts as the intermediary between you and the client.
What we ask of you
Work to the milestone plan agreed in the brief, submit progress updates with photographic evidence at each milestone, and keep client communication on the platform. Trustline Builds may inspect a site or audit project records at any time: that is what makes the client trust a build they cannot visit.
How a release actually works
Payment requests are reviewed against the project schedule and available evidence, and the client sees the same package you do: the line items, supplier and quote. See the Payment Policy for the payment arrangements that apply to each project.

How vetting worksDecided in 3–4 weeks
- Identity verificationIn Ghana we confirm your identity against your Ghana Card without copying or keeping it; in Nigeria we check the NIN slip you upload.
- Reference checksWe call your referees, so tell them to expect us. This is usually the step that decides how long yours takes.
- Business document reviewIf you provided registration, tax or incorporation documents.
- Admin approvalYou are sent a sign-in on WhatsApp, or by email invite if you gave us one.
- Sign the Contractor AgreementElectronically, at your first sign-in. Applying is consent to be vetted; this is the agreement you actually work under, and no project is assigned until it is signed.
What to have ready
- A phone number we can reach you on. An email address is optional but useful: it is where the decision goes
- In Nigeria, your NIN and a photo of the slip. In Ghana we never ask for your Ghana Card. We confirm your identity without copying or keeping it
- Two referees we can call, with working phone numbers
- Your trade or specialisation, and how long you have worked in it
- Business registration, tax and incorporation documents, if you have them
- Professional body registration numbers, if you hold them
- Photographs of completed work: optional, but it is what a client looks at first
