Independent assignments for property owners who are usually abroad and cannot check for themselves. Some are one-off; some run on a recurring monitoring plan where you return to the same site month after month.

If you are approved you work as an independent verified professional, not as an employee of Trustline Builds. We never describe you as one, and we never put our name on your findings. Your job is to report what is actually there — including when that is not what the customer hoped to hear.

Two things decide which jobs reach you: the services you are approved for, and the region and towns you can actually reach and return from in a day. You are offered a job, with the date and the site; you accept or decline it yourself. Nothing is assigned to you without your say-so.

Three things, and they are the whole agreement. Attend the site yourself. Capture the evidence yourself, at the site, at the time of the assignment — not from an office, not afterwards, not from someone else. Answer the report questions straight.

• Photographs record who took them, so evidence is attributable to you

A fixed fee per assignment. It is fixed at the moment you accept the job and is never recalculated afterwards, so what you agreed to is what you are owed. Payment follows once Trustline has reviewed your submission. Your fees and the terms around them are set out in the Professional Services Agreement you sign before any work is offered to you.

   Usually within the first few days. We check the ID document you upload.

   Licence and credential checks

   Against the bodies that issued them — and they answer at their own pace, which is usually what sets ours.

   Reference calls

   We call both of your references — tell them to expect us, because a referee we cannot reach holds up everything after this step.

   Approval, and which services you are approved for

   The services you select on the form are a request, not a grant. Our team confirms each one, and you may be approved for some and not others.

   Sign the Professional Services Agreement

   At your first sign-in. Applying is consent to be vetted; this is the agreement you actually work under. No work is offered until it is signed.

Most applications are decided within 3–4 weeks. Licence bodies and referees answer at their own pace, so how fast yours moves depends largely on how fast they do.

• A government ID document — the Ghana Card in Ghana, the NIN slip in Nigeria
• Any professional licences or regulatory registrations you hold
• Degrees, diplomas, memberships or training certificates
• Two referees we can call, with working phone numbers
